District Information
This is the first step of the onboarding wizard. It collects your district's basic profile and calendar so the rest of TKG Analytics can be set up correctly.
What this step asks for
District details
- District Name already filled in from when your account was created. It is shown here for reference and cannot be changed on this screen. If the name needs to be corrected, open a Helpdesk Ticket and we will update it for you.
- SIS ID your district's identifier in your student information system. It is typically four digits, for example
0123or1235. - Initials a short abbreviation for your district, used in reports and labels.
- Address, City, State, Zip your district's mailing address.
- Grades whether your district serves Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade or Kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Staff Email Domain the domain your staff email addresses use, for example
example.org. - Student Email Domain the domain your student email addresses use.
Enter just the domain, without the @
For the staff and student email domains, enter only the part that comes after the @ (for example example.org), not the @ symbol and not a full email address. So enter example.org, not @example.org or staff@example.org. These domains let TKG Analytics match your staff and students to the right accounts.
School year information
- 1st Nine Week End Date
- 3rd Nine Week End Date
You only enter these two dates. See How the rest of your calendar is filled in below.
Superintendent information
- First Name
- Last Name
When you are done, click Save & Continue to move to the next step.
How the rest of your calendar is filled in
You enter only the 1st and 3rd nine-week end dates. TKG Analytics fills in the rest of your calendar for you:
- The 2nd nine weeks starts the day after your 1st nine-week end date.
- The 4th nine weeks starts the day after your 3rd nine-week end date.
These dates determine which quarter each score is counted in, so make sure the two end dates match your district's calendar.
What happens after you save
The superintendent you enter is automatically added as a district admin for your district, using the email you provide. They will be able to sign in and help complete onboarding alongside you.
Because the superintendent becomes a district admin, they count toward your district's limit of 5 active district admins. Once set, the superintendent is a protected contact: to change who it is later, the point of contact or superintendent can reassign it from the district dashboard - see changing a named contact.
Use a different person than your point of contact. Your point of contact handles day-to-day platform work and support, while the superintendent is your district's named leader. Keeping them as two different people gives your district clearer coverage, so name a distinct superintendent here to finish this step.
Double-check the superintendent email
The superintendent email becomes a district admin sign-in. A typo means that person will not be able to access the site, so confirm it before saving.
Not sure something is right?
If anything on this step does not look right, open a Helpdesk Ticket and we will help before you continue.
Where you are
Next step: District Admins, where you confirm who has district-wide access.
