Review Ranges

This step comes after Re-confirm Configuration, and only appears when your district has ranges to review: custom benchmark ranges, midterms, or both. If it has neither, the rollover skips straight to Confirm Schools.

What this step shows

Ranges are the cut scores TKG Analytics uses to score your district's assessments. The step does not list them itself. It links to the pages where they live, each opening in a new window, so you can review or change them there and then come back to the rollover.

  • Benchmark Ranges appear when your calculation type is District Defined or K-1 District Defined. Review benchmark ranges opens your benchmark ranges. See Custom Cut Scores or K-1 Custom Cut Scores for what they mean.
  • Midterm Ranges appear when your district has midterms. Review midterm ranges opens your midterm ranges. See Midterm Ranges for what they mean.

Nothing on this step is saved. When you are done, continue.

Ranges carry over from year to year

Ranges are not set per school year. The ranges you have now carry into the new year unchanged unless you edit them.

A change applies to scores imported from then on. Scores already imported, including last year's, keep the performance levels they were given.

Midterm ranges that are not set up yet

If your district has midterms but has not set up its midterm ranges, the step says so and offers Set up midterm ranges instead. Midterm files cannot be uploaded until the ranges exist, so this is a good moment to set them up: copy your benchmark ranges if you have custom ones, or start from the standard defaults, then adjust. You can still continue the rollover without doing it.

Whether your district has midterms is confirmed by our team when the rollover starts, based on whether your district renewed with them.

Nothing is announced as you go

No wizard step sends email. The Review & Submit page shows your ranges alongside everything else, where you and the reviewer can both see them before the rollover goes anywhere.

Not sure what your cut scores should be?
