Re-confirm Configuration

This is the third step of the school year rollover. Here you review last year's assessment and course settings and confirm or update them for the new year.

What this step asks for

Benchmark Information

• Assessment Vendor. Who supplies your benchmark scores.
• Calculation Type. Whether your benchmark ranges are vendor defined, district defined, or K-1 district defined.

MAAP Courses. Your MAAP course codes carry over unchanged, so there is nothing to set here. The step explains one case worth knowing: some districts place students in placeholder courses when they are not tested in the fall, for example putting Algebra I students in Foundations of Algebra or Compensatory Math I. If that describes your district, use the link on the step to open a Helpdesk Ticket with your placeholder course codes so we can set them up.

Feeder Courses. Feeder courses are locally-taught classes that prepare students for MAAP-tested subjects. Confirm or update the courses in which you plan to give students the appropriate MAAP benchmark, for each of English, math, science, and history.

Changing the calculation type

If you switch to a district-defined calculation, TKG Analytics creates a starting set of benchmark ranges for you and then keeps you on this step rather than moving you forward, with the newly created ranges shown below the form. That is deliberate: those ranges are defaults, not your district's real cut scores, and this is the moment to look at them.
