Re-confirm Configuration

Here you review last year's assessment and course settings and confirm or update them for the new year.

What this step asks for

Benchmark Information

• Assessment Vendor. Who supplies your benchmark scores.
• Calculation Type. Whether your benchmark ranges are vendor defined, district defined, or K-1 district defined. The step explains each one under the selects, with a link to the guide for each district-defined type.

Algebra I in 8th Grade. Tick We do not teach Algebra I in 8th grade if no student in your district takes Algebra I in 8th grade in the new year. The compacted math courses on your MAAP course list are then shown grayed out. The box starts with your last answer, from an earlier rollover or from onboarding, so change it only if that has changed.

MAAP Courses. Your MAAP course codes carry over unchanged, and the step lists them by subject with their course titles so you can check them. History is not shown while it is not part of the accountability model. You cannot edit them here. The step also calls out any additional codes we map for your district (often placeholder courses), any code that is also one of your feeder courses (including a standard MAAP course on your feeder list), and any standard MAAP course your district does not carry. Compacted math courses your district does not carry are listed separately, because they are only needed if you teach compacted math. If your district has schools marked as running semester (4x4) classes, it names them and asks you to double check your fall placeholder courses.

Before you can continue, choose one of two statements:

• These MAAP courses are correct for the new year.
• We need a MAAP or placeholder course added or changed, and have opened a helpdesk ticket.

Feeder Courses. Feeder courses are locally-taught classes that prepare students for MAAP-tested subjects. Confirm or update the courses in which you plan to give students the appropriate MAAP benchmark, for each of English, math, science, and history.

Changing the calculation type

If you switch to a district-defined calculation, TKG Analytics creates a starting set of benchmark ranges for you. Those ranges are defaults, not your district's real cut scores, so review them on the next step, Review Ranges. For what the ranges mean, see Custom Cut Scores.
