Confirm Email Domains
This step confirms the two email domains TKG Analytics uses when it imports your staff and students. They carried over from last year, and this is the one place in the rollover that asks you to check them.
Why this step matters
Your staff email domain decides who can sign in.
A teacher can only sign in if their school email address ends in this domain. If it is wrong, none of your teachers will be able to sign in, and any who can sign in today will be locked out when the rollover restarts your nightly sync.
Nothing will warn you if it is wrong. There is no error and no failed import to look at, so this screen is where the problem gets caught or does not.
If your district has changed email domains
This is the case the step exists for. A district that moved to a new email provider over the summer, or renamed its domain, has a value here that was correct last year and is wrong now. Fix it here before you continue.
What this step asks for
- Staff email domain the part after the
@in your staff addresses, for exampleexample.org. This is the one that decides who can sign in. - Student email domain the part after the
@in your students' addresses. This is what puts the right email address on each student's profile.
Enter only the part that comes after the @. Enter example.org, not @example.org and not someone@example.org.
Both are required. Neither can be left empty.
Confirming
Tick the confirmation box to enable Confirm and continue. The box is there to make this a deliberate stop rather than one more screen to click past, because a wrong value here is not visible anywhere else.
You can come back to this step from the sidebar at any point before you submit the rollover.
If it was wrong
If you have already submitted and your teachers cannot sign in, open a Helpdesk Ticket. Correcting the domain and re-running the import restores their access.
Where you are
